h2. Installation Instructions
h3. If you are updating {Minki} you only need to update index.php, text.php. Optionally, you can also update and pages/version.php and pages/syntax.php. Default options are already set in the software, so you don't have to replace your options file in order for Minki to work properly. If new {options} have been added they will be outlined in the {version} history. A complete list of options is also included when you're editing the options page in case you wish to change settings from their defaults.

# Unzip Minki_latest.zip
# Open %:blue::password.php% in your text editor and change the password. Save the file and go ahead and close it.
# Open %:blue::pages/options.php% and review the settings -- you may wish to change the defaults to suit your website.
# Upload all of the files (including the folder "pages" and its contents) to the location you want to install Minki.

** When editing options via minki, a list of options with brief descriptions and defaults will be shown below the edit box.

# You should now be able to use Minki without problem.
** Certain pages, your front page for example, are protected from public editing by default. You will need to login in order to edit protected files. Go to yourwikiurl/?login and enter your password. It will be saved in a cookie so you won't have to login again. You can logout by going to yourwikiurl/?logout.
** You can edit your options from within the wiki by going to the "options" wiki page (enter it in the text box and click GoTo Page)
** If you'd like, you can open %:blue::template.txt% and edit it. This is just a plain html file. Pay attention to the variables, such as %:red::##mainBody##% as the template is useless without these included.
